The George Ioannou Gallery at Art 2 Art UK is proud to be the longest-running and most successful Ioannou Cult-Art Gallery in the UK.
Having worked with George personally since he very first put paintbrush to canvas back in 2000, we have been fortunate enough to have experienced – first hand - the dramatic rise to fame that George has experienced.
In terms of employees we are a relatively small outfit; the advantage this gives us is that we have the benefit of offering our clients and collectors the kind of personal service that you should expect from a high-end art gallery. Our attention to detail and customer service is second-to-none and we hope that we are able to offer a complete experience when purchasing any of George’s fabulous works, from Limited Edition prints to bespoke commission pieces.
We have been exhibiting with George all over the UK since early 2004 and although other galleries have come on the scene since, none will ever equal our product knowledge or impressive lists of original sales (see the list of original artworks we have supplied to our numerous collectors on our ORIGINALS page).
We also pride ourselves in our delivery offers whereby many clients in the South East take advantage of our free of charge delivery and hanging service that saves waiting all day for a courier company and means that we can professionally hang the canvases without you having to get the tools out! This also allows us to offer to bring selected artworks directly to your door as a way of sampling some editions so see how they would work in your room, again this is free of charge.
Art 2 Art UK is also fortunate enough to have amassed quite a large number of celebrity collectors of George’s works including many Premier League footballers and stars from TV. George has also been listed in the Top 10 Most Collectable Living Artists in the UK and with many clients purchasing George’s works as good investments we see this as a trend that will continue and stand the test of time.
For many clients we also offer to provide free insurance appraisals for collectors who wish to ensure that their purchases are properly covered by their home insurer (Please feel free to get in touch for details).
If we can answer any questions or if you have any enquiries, please feel free to contact us – we’d love to hear from you.

“It’s about capturing a “chapter” of your life and hanging it on the wall. It’s a reminder of that cultural movement that you were once a part of and who you are today” G. Ioannou 2010
Since George Ioannou arrived on the art scene 10 years ago the art market has welcomed him with open arms and embraced him for his fresh style of art. Ioannou’s work has been recognized in art journals as pioneering this current trend of “Cult” artwork, which graces art galleries throughout the UK and has spawned a new generation of artist’s following his style.
His artwork has led him to work with many leading companies including Chelsea FC, Granada TV, MTV, The British Film Industry as well as featuring in numerous magazines including GQ, Classic Rock & Tatler to name but a few. In addition, Ioannou works closely with the “Bobby Moore Trust Fund for Cancer Research” and has raised over £60K through his art donations. More recently he has worked with Johnny Wilkinson for the Willow Foundation Charity.
Ioannou is being collected by all walks of life for his simple interpretation of memorable cult figures from the past and present. His striking style of artwork and flawless product has given him recognition as a serious and highly collectable artist. In 2007/08 Ioannou was listed within the top ten best selling and most collectable artists in the UK.
Born in Croydon, South London in 1974, Ioannou gained his early inspiration from the comic book heroes of the 1960’s and 1970’s and having passed his art A-level, his early ambition was to be a cartoonist. For a time though, he found himself working in an estate agency though he never lost his passion for art and was always more drawn to the interior aesthetic than the bricks and motor of the properties he worked with !
Ultimately it was buying his own house that brought Ioannou back to creating art. Faced with bare walls he visited art galleries but couldn’t find anything that truly inspired him. So he painted his first canvas of “Al Pacino in Scarface” and as he says “The House loved it ...!”. Eventually, with the encouragement of everyone who saw and loved his painting Ioannou was persuaded to paint a series of works for publication.
Ioannou selects his icons carefully by only choosing film, music or iconic persons who have inspired him the most in his life. He works in acrylic on canvas taking many hours to select and draw the initial image by hand, determining the balance of form and shading needed to capture the mood of the piece. He then chooses and mixes his colours to further enhance the vibrancy and emotion of the image before applying paint to canvas.
While George Ioannou’s work may be referenced to that of the great 1960’s artist Andy Warhol and the whole “Pop-Art” genre, he reintroduces us to this style in a new Millennium with his own unique palette.

George's exclusive list of celebrity collectors varies from distinguished actors to star sports personalities. As an Iconic artist George has been copied, but due to the quality of his works he continues to lead the market in collectible cult art.
The collection has been well received right across Europe and the United States, with the sold out canvases in George's collection now raising dramatically in value on the secondary market, means not only fantastic artwork, but sound financial investments too.

George has worked with numerous charities over the past 8 years including the Bobby Moore Trust for Cancer Research and the Willow foundation.
Sales and auctions of original dedicated artworks along with our own gallery sales of the limited edition prints of some of George’s canvases have helped raise cash in excess of £60,000 for the benefit of those who need it most.

This special commission was presented to Lawrence Dallaglio by George as a donation to his first “8Rocks2 charity auction (in aid of Cancer Research) 2009. With a huge list of celebrities in attendance there were quite a few big names that placed bids on the painting including Prince Harry, but it was rick Astley that walked away the victor after parting with over £8000 for Charity.

With the close working relationship that Art 2 Art UK has with George Ioannou, we are able to offer our internet clients the chance of having their own favourite stars of sport and screen produced on canvas by George himself. The exclusivity of owning an Ioannou original is constantly growing, as demand greatly outstrips supply for George's original works of which only a handful of released pieces are still available.
A few of our clients who are keen collectors of Ioannou's work have also commissioned private images of their own family portraits to be recreated in George's unique style on canvas. Our commission facility has many attributes varying from meeting the artist to discuss sizes, colour schemes and content, to owning an original work of art that is a complete one off. In the past, some commissions of iconic stars that Ioannou feels would work in the commercial environment, have ended up being included in the limited edition range ...more
